A Teenage ChristianAn anonymous realization from a 15-year-old boyBeing a teenage christian will never be easy. You gotta stay away from this, you gotta stay away from that, you have to do this, you have to do that and sometimes we can sink deep into it and not realize who we are doing it for. Biblically, it is written that our lives will never be easy because we are identified in Him. If you are reading this and currently a teenage christian... Well, this is for you. Introduction: I believe in a saying that goes like this, "I'm a christian who happens to be a student, not a student who happens to be a christian." Can you realize the gravity of saying it like that? Being identified with Christ before being identified in secular institutions, being identified in Christ before being identified with your classmates, teachers and before everyone else. Years before, in the Apostle Paul's time, there was persecution. Before he got saved, he was one of those persecutors. But today, we aren't persecuted for teaching Christ or even living a Christ-like life, but the problem of christian teens today is...
Getting Entangled with the World
I too have been a victim of the misery and comfort that the world brings. You never realize that you're wrecking your life bits by bits until it finally hits you. I have been blessed enough, because God used my Youth Pastor to discipline me about being entangled with the world. Imagine with me, the GRACE of GOD was presented to UNDESERVING SINNERS such as YOU and I. Salvation was presented free for us and even though we are undeserving sinners who just deserve the wrath of God, be identified with His Son who suffered for us, who became sin for us and will come again for us? AND YET, WE ARE IDENTIFIED WITH CHRIST, BEING A CHRISTIAN TEEN AND YET, ONCE AGAIN, HAVING NO REMORSE AT ALL EASILY STAIN THAT TESTIMONY! We still have the human nature in us... To be continued
